Sprite's General Information
Stats
Your sprite has several stats.
The most important one is mood. There's Very Happy, Happy, Neutral, Sad, Angry.
As far as I know, there's no definite way to influence mood outside of using the mood tonic, which goes for 45 Silvers, not too cheap for a beginner player.
The better a sprite's mood is, the more efficient it is, and the more likely it'll succeed in its tasks.
However, your sprites have more mood swings than an emo. They hate being neglected, and sometimes they hate being overworked. The advice I've gotten is keeping their stamina above 60%, which i'll get to later.
After doing a task, depending on the outcome, sometimes there'll be a random event. If the sprite succeeded, the event may increase mood, and fail will decrease, vice versa.
Which, funnily, means mood can get recursive: you make it do something, it fails, it gets sadder and more likely to fail. Going the other way doesn't seem to happen often, mainly because success is supposed to be high.
If sprites gets very sad, they might run away, don't let it happen, unless you opened one by mistake. These little things are expensive to train.
The second most important stat is stamina. Sprites uses up stamina when doing things, and using too much at a time will make it feel overworked (see mood), and unable to be summoned (see summoning). Sprites recover stamina slowly, or you can give it a cookie (around 10 silver), which sometimes increases its mood, but is not for certain like the tonic.
The last stat is closeness. Sprites gain and lose closeness via the random events, and it seems to affect the mood. Closer sprites stay happier for longer.
The other stats (exp and battle stats) I have not touched. Suffice to say exp is gained by doing work and it makes your sprite level. However, your sprite will not go past 20 unless you hit 21 first (see evolution), in which case it'll evolve. Battle stats are like for pokemon battles between sprites, which I have no interest in.
Your sprite will not attack for you or take damage for you, only pull aggro.
Abilities
Each Sprite comes with three to four abilities. They usually have two collection abilities, either an additional collection ability or crafting ability, and either an additional crafting ability or disassembly ability.
All sprites can also do sprite alchemy, which gains you rare materials, I have yet to try it.
List of Abilities
Collection
Mining
Lumbering
Hunting
Crafting
Craft Warrior Apparel
Craft Archer Apparel
Craft Priest Apparel
Craft Mage Apparel
Swordmaking
Axemaking
Hammermaking
Bowmaking
Gunmaking
Staffmaking
Shieldmaking
Relicmaking
Collection
Collection is quite simple, tell a sprite to collect, give it some money, and it'll go off to an unspecified location. Unlike the domo forager, it can fail. Take the Mining for example.
Prospect Earth - 7 Copper Ore
Prospect Cave Walls - 6 Copper Ore, 1 Uncut Gem
Prospect Deep Mountain Veins - 12 Copper Ore, 1 Moonlight Gem
Prospect Geothermal Cracks - 13 Copper Ore, 1 Cat's Eye Gem
For Prospect Earth, it's pass or fail. For the rest though, it could bring back 1 of the two, both, or none, which gets annoying if you need the 13 coppers and he brings back a gem instead.
Sometimes when it's happy, it'll bring back some random potions or chests as a gift to you. Sometimes you can get an order scroll, which asks you to deliver a certain amount of mats to an NPC for City Fame, which is required for you to purchase certain items.
Crafting
More or less straightforward, just get the mats and have it craft, note this gets annoying (like my robemaker) if they fail a craft for which the mat's not easy to get (like Sphere's Earth Essence). Sometimes makes you want to beat the living crap out of it. Maximize mood and stamina for best results.
Note, sometimes if it fails, it can randomly salvage a mat, which is kinda nice. (cough robemaker).
Disassembly
For certain mats, you need to disassemble. To disassemble, your weapon must have a colored name. Some of the weapons drops have colored names, disassemble them, the rest you can NPC. If you don't have any, some of the sprite's productions have colored names, make one and disassemble.
You can only disassemble an item if your sprite's disassemble level is equal to or higher than the weapon's level requirement for wielding.
Alchemy
To do alchemy, get a clay.
Then, the sprite will turn that into something in the "1st attempt" list in the alchemy list. If you don't like it, you can have him try again, however, every try beyond the first can fail and get you nothing.
You can try up to 5 times, each result is from the enumerated list of attempts.
The top prize in regular alchemy is "Saphael's Infinite Crystal". Which will get you a system announcement, as well as any perms in the rotation.
The list is changed every day in a 7-day cycle.
Training
Good for Crafting and Disassembly, costs mats but not -as- much mats, which is always nice because you won't be needing armor/weaponry that often but will need Crafting and Disassembly Levels.
Talking
The sprite gives you random pointers, it helps with mood, however spamming it only seems to work for the first few tries. The lower the mood is, the higher chance it'll succeed.
Summoning
If your sprite is happy (neutral won't do it) and has enough stamina, you can summon it. It'll give you buffs based on its equipment, and collect loot for you. Note if there were a cursed box, the sprite will pick it up anyway, owning you in the process. The sprite will pull aggro, but it won't attack or get attacked. It slowly loses stamina, and when a certain point is reached, it gets unsummoned.
Equipment
Sprites have two kinds of equipment: body equipment and furniture.
Body Equipment
A sprite can wear two emblems, a hat, and a body piece. hat and body changes its appearance and all 4 gives you a tiny boost in ability. If you put a new emblem in, it -overwrites- the old one. Keep that in mind. (There's also currently no way to recover emblems).
Furniture
For your sprite's room. Back Furniture and Left Furniture gives it boosts in collection and crafting (as well as happiness and maybe closeness), whereas Right Furniture is required for it to craft and disassemble (and gives happiness maybe closeness). You can also change the wall and floor, but those are consumable and only makes it potentially happier and closer.
Note: Sometimes it doesn't like what you bought for it, and it may make it sad, unless he gets used to it.
Chatter
The sprites will say a number of disgustingly cute things. However, certain things are of note:
"I feel useless/ordinary" Make it do more work.
"Master/Mistress only thinks of himself/herself" Let it rest.
"I want to go out for a bit" - Don't actually follow this, since I've found there's not much of an effect.
The rest you can ignore.
Evolution/Release
Only the first sprite you get can evolve
When your sprite's exp maxes (basically making it do work, summoning it won't give it any), and when you reach the level necessary (Lv. 21, Lv. 51). The sprite in Magic City Ilya will then send you a message and you can port to it to evolve your sprite.
Other sprites you gained (I've found no exceptions so far) cannot evolve at all. Once their exp is maxed, you can go to the altar and release them. You don't need to release it on full exp, but it's preferable as it effects the rewards you get, and a poorly trained sprite might result in punitive action from the sprite kings.
In order to release, the sprite must be happy, you also need to remove all furniture and equipment, but not blazons. Releasing an adequately trained sprite gains you some sprite messenger fame (which are needed to purchase certain things like every other fame in the game), and the ruler of the tribe will send you a gift box containing random rewards depending on how well you raised it (if you maxed EXP, you'll always get an A rank).
Battling
Again, only the first sprite you got seems to have this ability. His body/hat will boost his battle ability, but you'll need to purchase a battle challenge for it to battle another sprite. In short, just forget it. Only for bored high-levels.
That's pretty much what I've found. They are useful, I'm not going to deny that, but they're also a royal pain.

Grand Fantasia Talent Cards
Source: http://wiki.aeriagames.com/grandfantasia/index.php?title=Talent_Cards&action=edit
Once you have received the talent card right click it to learn that skill. Once you have learned it open your Skills menu (press "k") and select Talent to see what you have learned and apply it. Select 1 talent from each type and drag it to the appropriate spot (ex. earth talent is dragged to the earth talent spot).
You can learn all of your class talents and change them at will. There are 4 types of talents (earth, star, moon, and sun) that become available at different levels. In each type there are several levels of skills. You will find that certain combinations of talent types will provide you with bonuses (ex. Warrior class - Heavy Arms Specialist (earth) combined with Light Arms Specialist (star) will give you a cleric bonus).
To see what the bonus is hover over the small diamond in the center of the 4 cards (it will light up blue when you have a bonus) and read the pop-up text. You will also see a change in the title at the top of the cards if you have a bonus.

Grand Fantasia Wizard Class
Grand Fantasia Wizard
How to become a Grand Fantasia Wizard?
The Wizard is one of the most common character classes in all RPG games. And of course, Grand Fantasia offers this powerful staff wielding class. So what can i say about the Wizard Class? Here are the pros and cons:
Pros
1. The Wizard is Very powerful. It has indeed the highest magical attack damage. I myself experienced this. I usually attack a monster from a distance and even kill it before it reaches my character.
2. The Wizard class also have powerful buffs. It also have debuffs for monsters. It can paralyze, weaken, poison, inflict death on a target monster. All these skills are handy on PvP and not much on PvE.
3. A Grand Fantasia Wizard is one of the in-demand party members for dungeon and boss hunting. A Wizard can easily inflict high magical damage on bosses.
Cons
1. A Wizard has low HP and defence. Resulting to being vulnerable to any attacks.
2. A Wizard is very expensive to use. You need to refill your mana frequently.
3. A Wizard can’t boss hunt on its own. Well for some rich players with good equipment.
I wrote this because i use this character class :D
I think that’s all for the Grand Fantasia Wizard class. ^_^
